Scary? No Thanks! – Poem

Happy Monday, everyone.  Did you have a good weekend?  I hope so. 🙂 Well, today is Halloween.  As I have stated in previous posts, I personally don’t care for it, or celebrate it.  So, I decided to change things up a bit today from my normal Monday post, by having some fun writing a poem about it, so I hope you don’t mind.  Enjoy! 😉

Spooky, scary, howlingBOO!

Smoky, darkness?…Not on my list of to-do’s

Things that fright,

And goes bump in the night…

No, sir…not me, I’ll just leave on the lights

Ghosts & signs that say Beware

Uh, uh…don’t ask, don’t even go there!

From house to house, children flood the streets…

For sweets & treats that are fun to eat

And why, I don’t know…seems like such a silly thing,

But Me?

No, thanks!

I’ll be home chillin’…watching TV!  © J.L. Hunt

Yes, I do LOVE watching Charlie Brown!  Did you enjoy that?  I hope you liked it. 🙂 Is anyone else planning to stay home & just chill?

Please do leave your comments!

And, to add some bit of motivation to your day…for those who are parents taking out the kids, please do remember to take a breather today! I know it will be hectic trying to squeeze trick-or-treating into your busy schedules, & trying to have everything run smoothly without any hiccups.

And for everyone else…Lock your doors!  No, I’m just kidding 😉  But again, please be safe everyone, & do enjoy the rest of your Monday. “Toodles!”😊

It’s Friday…Yay!  Well, it’s the LAST Friday of October, can you believe it? So, get a rake & gather up some leaves for some leaf-jumpin fun! 🙂

And, this also wraps up our bucket list for the month of October.  We didn’t cover everything on the list, but that’s ok, per I did mention previously that we probably wouldn’t….but, I think we still chose some pretty cool activities, right? 😉

Colorful autumn maple leaves

I also went ahead & checked off the apple cider, per I’m sure the kids will be quite parched after playing in all the leaves! So, Enjoy your weekend!  Oh, & for those who plan on trick-or-treating this upcoming Monday, you can check this off too. So, Be Safe…..& Have fun!  “Toodles!” 😊

Hello everyone. How are you? We’re halfway thru the week, almost there! 🙂 You know, sometimes life can be tricky.  We can have days when everything is just smooth sailing & perfectly comes together.  On other days, we can run into all sorts of potholes & detours…not exactly sure what’s the best route or road to take.

My wish for you today is…..To Stay On Course.

And, that you will stay/get on the road that will lead you to your perfect destination, at the perfect time. 😊

Hello all. I’ve discovered this post & think it’s the perfect way to kick-off the week. Lets combat the current chaos of our lives & find something GOOD to brag about. Enjoy! 🙂

So then let’s do just that! Let’s start the week with a positive attitude! Tell me something good!

It’s easy:

  • Mention something that you consider being good in the comments
  • Or write a post about it on your blog (please don’t forget the pingback if you do so I don’t miss out and also share the link to it in the comments below). Something good that happened to you recently, or something good you will experience in a little while, or something good you know will happen soon. Something that makes you feel good.
  • Share this post and invite your followers as well.

Before we start though, think about treating yourself to something you enjoy. Like a little massage. Or a back rub. Who doesn’t like a back rub, right?

Are you enjoying it? Doesn’t it feel good? Keep enjoying it. For as long as it lasts. I think back…

Fun Friday – 4 Tasty S’mores Recipes

Source: dish.com

Friday, hey! Friday, yay!  Hello everyone. I do hope you’ve had a good week. I know it may not have been easy with the political madness going on, but let’s still try to think happy thoughts shall we? 😉

With all the prep going on for Fall parties & events, you’re going to need some major tasty treats to serve up, so I have just the thing.  It wouldn’t be fall without warm bonfires…& what’s a bonfire without…you guessed it…S’mores! The kids will LOVE to help with the prep, as well as the eatin’ :P.  Now, it’s a bit more sugar than I’d usually recommend, but it’s ok to have an occasional sweet treat.  And, I have the perfect finger-lickin’ recipes to jump-start your bash. 😉

S’mores Pumpkin Cakes

A traditional delight, gets a fall twist with added pumpkin flair. Graham cracker crumbs, pumpkin puree’, chocolate chips, are just a few of the yummy ingredients needed for this sweet treat! You can click the link for the full recipe.

Mini S’mores Tarts

Here is a traditional graham cracker crust.  Inside the crust is a smooth chocolate ganache made from just three ingredients: semi-sweet chocolate, cream, and butter. (May have to skip counting calories for this one 😉 )  On top is a whipped marshmallow topping.

Triple Dipped S’mores Apples

Now this is creative.  This candy apple just got a make over! Tricks for Sticks: First, simply twist off the stem. If your skewer is blunt, sharpen it using a utility knife to slice off one end at a diagonal angle. Then, working on a flat surface, firmly grip your apple and push the skewer two-thirds of the way in. If any juice leaks out, blot the fruit with a paper towel before dipping.

S’mores Hot Chocolate

It’s a universal truth that hot chocolate is even better when it’s loaded up with marshmallows. So, toasted mallows, & then topping the whole thing with crumbled graham crackers, & a drizzle of hot fudge sauce for gluttonous good measure.  Although summer is over, no need to cry over ice cream kids…this tops a hot fudge sundae with the works!

Would you like S’more recipes?  Get it? Ha!, Ha! Just my humor.  But, sorry…that’s all for for today.   And actually this is plenty!  I would suggest not eating them all in one serving , per the sugar rush may have them jumping for days! So, whether you’re planning a big bash, or just an evening at home with the kiddies, do have a great weekend. Until next time, “Toodles!” 😉
