Friday, hey! Friday, yay! Hello everyone. I do hope you’ve had a good week. I know it may not have been easy with the political madness going on, but let’s still try to think happy thoughts shall we? 😉
With all the prep going on for Fall parties & events, you’re going to need some major tasty treats to serve up, so I have just the thing. It wouldn’t be fall without warm bonfires…& what’s a bonfire without…you guessed it…S’mores! The kids will LOVE to help with the prep, as well as the eatin’ :P. Now, it’s a bit more sugar than I’d usually recommend, but it’s ok to have an occasional sweet treat. And, I have the perfect finger-lickin’ recipes to jump-start your bash. 😉
A traditional delight, gets a fall twist with added pumpkin flair. Graham cracker crumbs, pumpkin puree’, chocolate chips, are just a few of the yummy ingredients needed for this sweet treat! You can click the link for the full recipe.
Here is a traditional graham cracker crust. Inside the crust is a smooth chocolate ganache made from just three ingredients: semi-sweet chocolate, cream, and butter. (May have to skip counting calories for this one 😉 ) On top is a whipped marshmallow topping.
Now this is creative. This candy apple just got a make over! Tricks for Sticks: First, simply twist off the stem. If your skewer is blunt, sharpen it using a utility knife to slice off one end at a diagonal angle. Then, working on a flat surface, firmly grip your apple and push the skewer two-thirds of the way in. If any juice leaks out, blot the fruit with a paper towel before dipping.
It’s a universal truth that hot chocolate is even better when it’s loaded up with marshmallows. So, toasted mallows, & then topping the whole thing with crumbled graham crackers, & a drizzle of hot fudge sauce for gluttonous good measure. Although summer is over, no need to cry over ice cream kids…this tops a hot fudge sundae with the works!
Would you like S’more recipes? Get it? Ha!, Ha! Just my humor. But, sorry…that’s all for for today. And actually this is plenty! I would suggest not eating them all in one serving , per the sugar rush may have them jumping for days! So, whether you’re planning a big bash, or just an evening at home with the kiddies, do have a great weekend. Until next time, “Toodles!” 😉
