Fun Friday – Easy DIY Thankful Tree

Video from:

Happy Friday!  It’s the first Friday of November! So, what is on the agenda for today?  Well, considering Thanksgiving will be soon approaching, & it is the month of “thankfulness”, I was inspired to share a wonderful idea with you I discovered on the web. Why don’t we make a”thankful tree!” This is a great, fun project for the kids, & also an excellent way to inspire gratitude. So, here’s a very quick video to show you how easily this can be done. Enjoy! 🙂

Very simple right?  You can have the kids list things weekly (or daily if you plan on getting a very large branch) leading up to Thanksgiving. Now, this is something the whole family can participate in…however large or small.

Note: You can also just get colored construction paper (in whatever size you choose) to draw a tree, or use a print out online  & then cut out leaves to paste or pin onto it, if you didn’t want to use the video example.

I’ll be asking for some of the things you’re thankful for every Friday, for the next TWO weeks at the end of each various post…& will be excited to hear your responses. 🙂

(Oh…also don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour this Sunday)

So, today…I’ll start off.  I’m thankful that the Chicago Cubs finally won the World Series! 😂 (Tears of joy!)

What are YOU thankful for? (Please leave your comments) 🙂

  3. This is great. I teach kindergarten and the kids would love this. It is a bit too late for thanksgiving but I am going to try and think of a way to adapt it for christmas where they write their list for santa on it. Thank you.
