Wishful Wednesday – Hope Floats

Wow.  I’m kinda in shock today, so excuse my non-traditional intro. We have a new U.S. president.  Against all opposition, & all criticism….DONALD TRUMP has been elected President!  I’m saying it, but still can’t believe it.  Now, some may be pleased with this outcome, but there are several that are not. Per our votes for each candidate were literally split across the board, & neck-to-neck in practically every state. (Sigh) I’m sure for some of you, you feel as if our world & your individual world is over…nothing positive can possibly come out of this.

So, my wish for you today is….Hope.

You know what I’ve realized? You may not like the outcome, but that doesn’t mean something good can’t come out of it. Some unbelievable things have happened this year.

-Although Hillary Clinton didn’t win the election, she was still the 1st female presidential nominee.

-The Chicago Cubs finally won the championships after losing for the past 108 yrs!

-And yes, someone with NO political background whatsoever just got elected president. So, folks… ANYTHING is POSSIBLE! Have hope! ❤

  1. Hope is what we need. I fear what will happen now, not just in regards to Trump in his role, somehow I think he will be kept in check but about all the crazy people who now think that they have backup for all their actions… But as you said: Things always lead to other things and maybe this might lead us to a good thing. Let’s hope for the best…

  2. Yes, there is always hope. No matter what, we are in it for at least four years. Let’s do what we always do Unite together as one Nation and move forward.
I can hear my mother voice God rest her soul: “Good night nurse”. When she was surprised or shocked about something she always said that. :o)
