Motivation Monday – A Wonderful World

“All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: Freedom, Justice, Honor, Duty, Mercy, Hope.”― Winston Churchill

Hey, everyone.  Did you happen to view the inauguration over the weekend? (Sigh) Yes, I know…the country is still vastly divided…with marches & protests against some of the policies of the newly elected president, Donald Trump. We are at a crucial time right now, per the future remains to be unfolded. We all need to find a way to come to a peaceful consensus.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking & pondering about what would the world be like if everything were the way it should be….

If everyone were treated fairly & equally.

If we could have total trust & confidence in our judicial system & in our police forces.

If we all received sufficient compensation for our work,

We all felt love, compassion, & respect for & from, our fellow neighbors, family, friends…& for all mankind in general.  WHAT would that look like?

Well, I think this song, which has been a long time favorite of mine growing up, sums it up beautifully.  So today,  as you listen to this song,  I want to motivate you to think about what YOU can individually do…in your home, at the workplace, in your city & neighborhood, to help create a more wonderful world.

I hope you enjoyed that. 🙂  I also would like to ask, that you please pray for our country, as well as for others outside the U.S., in fact…the whole world! ❤ Enjoy the rest of your Monday… “Peace & Blessings” ❤

Please comment & share this post…spread the love ❤

  1. Thoroughly enjoyed this! I am so glad you stopped by my blog so I could find yours.
That song is a favorite of my oldest son. Back when he was in high school he would walk around the house singing that one.

    • How sweet of you to say 🙂 I’m thankful to have discovered your blog as well.
So, glad you enjoyed the post 🙂

  2. The problem with Churchill’s quote is that those are all abstractions and have different meaning from culture to culture, person to person. Very subjective.

    • Isn’t that the beauty of America….everyone has the right to their own beliefs & opinions 🙂

      • Yes & no. The new administration’s right to believe that climate change is Communist propaganda to undermine the energy industry. Their right to believe that climate change isn’t a reality even though the scientific community is virtually unanimous that it is, their taking down every reference to it from the Whi te House’s website on Day 1, is problematic.
As is the belief that the Arts are an unnecessary government expense, that Roe v Wade has run its course… I could go on.
        Situational perspectives.

      • Yes, its unfortunate. But at least we have the power to voice our opinions in protest to whatever we don’t agree with, can’t say it will be successful every time…but at least we do have the freedom to do so. Yes, the world is a mess right now, but each of us has the right & privilege of speaking out & voting…so the only thing we can do is to continue to exercise our powers.
