Ain’t that the truth? It is so much EASIER to just cop-out & react to whatever is going on, instead of taking the time to think things through. GUILTY!  Yes, I’ve fallen for the “Easy” route plenty of times in my lifetime, but I’ve also learned that easy isn’t always best…so now, I’m all about the “Best” way of handling things….which will actually make things “Easier” in the long run. 😊

Wishful Wednesday – In The Moment

Image result for if you're always racing to the next moment

“Slow down & everything you are chasing will come around & catch you” — John DePaola —”If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment…live in the breath”— Amit Ray

So, my wish for you today is…. Live in the moment

Life is hard enough, so don’t spend ALL of your time worrying & stressing about tomorrow…or what you’re not able to do right now.  Do what’s within your ability…& then let it go…release it, don’t keep obsessing over it.  Learn to un-plug. Take walks, relax your thoughts, make it a priority to find something enjoyable in each day. 😊

Becoming Diamonds

“The next time you feel slightly uncomfortable with the pressure in your life, remember no pressure, no diamonds. Pressure is a part of success.”― Eric Thomas

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I feel as if I am being “crushed”.  I’m going through some really difficult times in my life right now, & some days are just more challenging to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  So, the other day I decided to distract myself by going to the mall, to try to get my mind off other things.  While walking around looking at various items, my eye caught the most beautiful diamond that was on display. As, I’ve stated before, I LOVE to look at beautiful things, especially things with a little bling!  I remember how it sparkled & shined…it was just amazing.

Have you ever really thought about what it takes to make a diamond?
Most of us just bask in the beauty of things, & do not really take the time to ponder about what happens behind the scenes.
To summarize, a diamond is made from carbon, which has to be under extreme high temperatures of heat & thousands of pounds of pressure in order to form.  There’s an extreme process that has to first take place before you can see the end results of the beautiful rock that draws such eye catching attention in all of its glory.
Hmm…Think about that for a moment.
– How many of you feel as if you’re being crushed under the pressures of life?
– How many of you are experiencing the high temperatures to the max?
Life knocks you down, kicks you around…& sometimes you feel like if you receive just one more notice or call with disappointing news…you will just Scream!
———————————————————————————————————–
Well, I am here to encourage you today, that there is a GEM inside of you! So, stand under the pressure…endure through the high temps of life.  Don’t let go, don’t give up…but go through the process…go through the fire…& come out…Finished, Polished, Shining Brightly for all to see…Show the world…

Fun Friday – Back To School Tips

Resourced From huffingtonpost.com

Things can get hectic when the school season starts, using these simple tips can help you plan ahead. With a little organization, your kids will develop good habits that will help the whole family transition into the school year with ease. 🙂

Plan Ahead

1) The beginning of the school year is an exciting & nerve-wrecking time for not only for the kids, but for the parents too, so try to start your routine early, like a few days before school starts to prepare the kids to get into school mode.

2) Have everything the kids will need such as book bags & supplies, at the door the NIGHT BEFORE, to cut down the stirring chaos of looking for items at the last-minute. Also, have most of their hot breakfast meals(if applicable) pre-cooked if possible the night before, as well as their lunches, to cut down on prep time the morning of.

3) Have school clothes laid out the night before as well.  Have fun with it. Let the kids help pick out their own outfits.  Especially, if they went shopping for new school clothes prior, they will be super excited to step out in their new, stylish threads. 🙂

4) Keep Calm!  Try to keep your cool & focus. (Easier said than done I know 😉 ) The first couple of weeks will be challenging for all of you, but if you can plan the essentials ahead of time, hopefully, your transition will be a smoother one.

Well, that about wraps up my tips for now.  Have a great school year…& happy learning! “Toodles!”😊
